AhlulBayt News Agency: Palestinian officials have warned that nearly 290,000 children in Gaza are at risk of death as Israel continues to impose starvation as a tactic of war.
In a statement issued Sunday, Gaza’s Government Media Office reported that more than 70,000 children are currently hospitalized due to severe malnutrition, while the international community remains silent on what it described as a humanitarian catastrophe.
The statement further revealed that over 3,500 children under the age of five face imminent starvation, emphasizing that the blockade has systematically deprived Gaza of essential supplies.
According to Palestinian authorities, Israel has deliberately obstructed the entry of baby formula, nutritional supplements, and other humanitarian aid into the region, worsening the crisis.
With 1.1 million children lacking the minimum daily nutritional requirements for survival, Palestinian officials accused Israel of weaponizing starvation while international institutions fail to intervene.
